The embassy of our country in the United States hosted a briefing on the theme: “Uzbekistan on the path of progress: strategic consistency and continuity of policy”. It was attended by representatives of the Congress, the State Department, the Ministry of Commerce, business, academic and expert circles of the United States, as well as international organizations – the IMF and the World Bank.
Attendees have acquainted with the achievements of Uzbekistan during the years of independence, the reforms in the socio-political, socio-economic, legal and judicial spheres. At the same time, it was also given detailed information on the preparations for the forthcoming presidential elections in our country.
During the event, the participants gave their evaluation on the main aspects of the implementation of the Uzbek model of development, and the role of Uzbekistan in ensuring peace, stability and security in the region.

The presidential elections are an important event in the political life of Uzbekistan, and a logical continuation of the course which was first initiated by President Islam Karimov, for the further development of the country, ensuring security and stability in the region, especially against the background of emerging new challenges and threats at present.
