Answer: 1. Apply to the competent authorities of the host country, a statement of loss (theft) of the passport and obtain the appropriate certificate;
2. Apply to the consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the host country for identity verification for further processing of the passport of the citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan (if a citizen of Uzbekistan was discharged from Uzbekistan for permanent residence abroad and is on the consular register) or the issuance of a certificate of return to the Republic of Uzbekistan (if a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan permanently registered in Uzbekistan).
If a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan is located in a country where there is no consular office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in the case of loss (theft) of the passport or the violation of his rights, he may apply to the consular office of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the country in consular district which includes the state in whose territory he it is located or in which he can appeal.
